From its inception nearly a century ago, ABM has based its operations on a set of fundamental values - respect, fairness, integrity, and recognition of our corporate accountabilities. We take responsibility for the impact of our activities on customers, employees, shareholders, the environment, and the communities in which we operate. Corporate ethics and responsibility have long been ABM standards and help guide the way we do business. We understand that our long-term success is in large part due to our ability to build relationships within our communities, manage operations conscientiously, and support our employees in a diverse and inclusive workplace. At ABM, we believe that corporations can positively change the world in which we live, and we are committed to doing our part.
In practice, our fundamental values play out in a number of ways throughout hundreds of cities across the United States.
Our People
As a service company, we recognize our single greatest asset is and always will be our people. Together we develop innovative ideas, incorporate a broad spectrum of expertise, and embrace the diversity and talent of our workplace. We are committed to cultivating an inclusive organization that serves to further human growth as we aim to bring out the best in each other.
At the heart of ABM’s core concerns are also employee safety and the provision of effective training. We select top-caliber employees and provide them with ongoing safety and training programs. We wholeheartedly believe that a diverse, safe and productive work environment is our best investment in the future.
Our Communities
At ABM, we believe that in order to be a good business leader, we must also be a good community leader. Our founder, Morris Rosenberg, was a good businessman because he understood the importance of community, and the concept of giving back. The ABM of today is proud to uphold his legacy, supporting many different programs and endeavors that help fuel the social and economic vitality of all community sectors.
Philanthropy
ABM recognizes that community involvement includes giving back to our communities and has become involved with a variety of charitable organizations. ABM’s list of community involvement grows and changes year after year as ABM continues to encourage a corporate culture of giving. Some of the organizations to which ABM has donated in the past include:
- American Heart Association
- Habitat for Humanity
- Junior Achievement
- Juvenile Diabetes Foundation
- Make-a-Wish Foundation
- Muscular Dystrophy Association

Employee Volunteerism
Community outreach goes far beyond financial support. At ABM, we promote and encourage a charitable way of life by highlighting individual employee activities and praising those individuals who lead by example in their efforts for their communities. Our employees donate many hours revitalizing the areas in which they live. Some of the organizations with which our employees are involved include:
- Building Owners and Management Association (BOMA) Holiday Toy Drive, Los Angeles, CA
